🔒 Your CV never leaves your phone · No account · Works offlineCV Maker builds a CV or résumé and exports it as a PDF. The whole of that happens on your device. There is no account, no server, and no sync. Nothing you type is ever uploaded. This policy explains exactly what is and is not handled, and it matches the Data safety section on our Google Play listing.
Your name, job titles, employers, dates, contact details, photo and every word of your CV are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. They are not transmitted anywhere — not to us, not to a third party, not to a cloud backup we control. The PDF is rendered on the device and written to the device.
The app works fully offline. If you never connect it to a network, nothing about it breaks.
When you share or send the exported PDF, that is your own action through Android's share sheet, and where it goes is entirely your choice. Backup files you save with Backup & restore are ordinary files you keep — we do not receive a copy.
Two Google SDKs inside the app do send data off the device. Neither of them receives any part of your CV.
| Data | Who | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Crash logs and diagnostics | Firebase Crashlytics (Google), acting for us | So a crash can be found and fixed. A report contains the technical state of the app — the error, the code path, the device model and Android version. It does not contain the text of your CV. |
| Advertising ID and device identifiers | Google AdMob | To serve the ads that pay for the app. This is shared with Google as an advertising partner. |
The app itself collects no personal information, no location, no contacts, no files and no photos. We never set a user ID and we never log anything you type.
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — used only for ads and for
Google Play purchases. Never to upload your CV.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID and related ad-services permissions — required by the
Google Mobile Ads SDK.POST_NOTIFICATIONS, VIBRATE, WAKE_LOCK,
FOREGROUND_SERVICE — for the optional local reminders, which are scheduled on the
device and are off by default. The app is free and is paid for by ads served through Google AdMob. To serve them, Google may collect and use device information and identifiers, including the Advertising ID.
The one-off "Remove ads" purchase switches all advertising off. Everything else in the app — templates, sections, photo, preview and the PDF download — is free either way.
The optional purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment details; Google handles them. We keep no record of who bought what beyond what Google Play tells the app so it can switch the ads off.
Because your CV is only on your device, deleting it is entirely in your hands: delete the CV in the app, or uninstall the app and everything it stored goes with it.
For the two items above that do leave the device: Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports according to Google's Firebase data policies, and the Advertising ID is controlled by you in Android settings, where it can be reset or deleted at any time. We do not operate a separate deletion-request service, because we hold no account and no personal data to delete.
CV Maker is a tool for job seekers and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and its Google Play target age group is 18 and over.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
