Privacy Policy

Photo Toolkit is a photo compressor, resizer and converter for Android. Your privacy is the core of this app: all image processing happens entirely on your device. This policy explains what data is and isn't handled.

Images never leave your device

Compressing, resizing and converting your photos is performed 100% locally on your phone. The app does not upload, transmit, or store your images on any server. We never see your photos. There is no account and no sign-in.

Data we collect

We never collect your photos, file names, or file contents, and there is no account and no sign-in. We do collect anonymous usage statistics so we can see which features people actually use — described in the next section.

Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record anonymous, aggregate events such as: which of the three tools (compress, resize, convert) was opened, that an image was saved or shared, the output format chosen, and whether the Pro upgrade was purchased. File sizes are reported only as coarse ranges (for example "100–500 KB"), never exact values tied to a specific file.

• We do not send your images, file names, file contents, contacts, or location.
• Firebase collects standard app and device information (such as app version, device model, country, and a resettable app-instance identifier) as described in Firebase's privacy documentation.
• You can limit this by resetting or opting out of your Advertising ID in your device settings.

Permissions we use

• Photo access via the Android photo picker — only so you can pick an image to process. Selected images are read locally and are not sent anywhere. The app does not request the READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission.
• INTERNET — used only to serve ads, send the anonymous analytics events above, and process in-app purchases. It is not used to upload your images.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads via Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google's SDK may collect and use device information and identifiers (such as the Advertising ID). This is standard third-party ad behaviour and is independent of your photos.

• You can reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings.

Purchasing the "Remove Ads" upgrade disables all ads.

In-app purchases

The optional one-time "Remove Ads / Pro" purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details; those are handled by Google.

Children

The app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
