Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser, and your files are never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere. The first time you use a tool, the page downloads the open-source library it needs (pdf-lib, pdf.js or JSZip) from a public CDN; your files are not part of that request.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
It is free and there is no sign-up or login. Open the page and start converting.
Which conversions are supported?
Images (JPG, PNG, WebP) into a single PDF, PDF pages into JPG or PNG images, several PDFs merged into one, pages split or extracted from a PDF, and images compressed to a smaller size.
Can it convert PDF to Word or Excel?
No. A faithful PDF to Word or Excel conversion needs server-side processing, which would mean uploading your file. These tools stay with the image and PDF conversions a browser can do on its own. For text you can edit, the DocFlow Scanner app for Android exports text through OCR.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit, but the work uses your device's memory, so a very large PDF or hundreds of high-resolution images can be slow on a low-end device.
